RBI Grade B Eligibility Criteria 2025
1. Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – General
- Graduation in any discipline or equivalent professional/ technical qualification, OR
- Post-Graduation in any discipline/ equivalent qualification.
2. Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DEPR
- Master’s degree (MA/MSc) in Economics or related fields like Quantitative Economics, Mathematical Economics, Econometrics, Financial Economics, Business Economics, Development Economics, International Economics, etc.
OR
- Master’s degree (MA/MSc) in Finance or related areas such as Quantitative Finance, Mathematical Finance, Corporate Finance, Project Finance, Banking & Trade Finance, etc.
3. Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DSIM
- Master’s degree in Statistics/ Mathematics/ Econometrics/ Applied Statistics/ Quantitative Economics/ Informatics, etc.
OR
- Master’s degree in Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics or related areas.
OR
- Four-year Bachelor’s degree in any of the above fields.

RBI Grade B Salary 2025
- Basic Pay: ₹78,450/- per month
- Pay Scale: ₹78,450 – ₹1,41,600/- (16 years)
- Initial Gross Salary: Approx. ₹1,50,374/- per month (excluding HRA)
- HRA: 15% of basic pay if accommodation is not provided by RBI
