Information: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the notification for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main 2026) for Session 1 (January Session). Candidates seeking admission to B.E./B.Tech, B.Arch, and B.Planning courses at prestigious institutions like NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs can now apply online through the official website – jeemain.nta.nic.in.

The registration process begins on 31st October 2025 and will remain open until 27th November 2025. Before applying, candidates are advised to read the official notification carefully to ensure eligibility and accuracy in form submission.

Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main 2026

Age Limit

There is no age restriction for appearing in JEE Main 2026. Candidates who have passed the Class 12 (10+2) or equivalent examination in 2024, 2025, or are appearing in 2026, are eligible to apply.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed or appeared in the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject.

Qualifying Examination List

Any of the following examinations will be considered valid for JEE Main eligibility:

  1. Final examination of 10+2 system conducted by any recognized Central or State Board.
  2. Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination.
  3. Final exam of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of NDA.
  4. Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by NIOS with at least five subjects.
  5. Vocational Higher Secondary Certificate Exam.
  6. Diploma recognized by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education (3-year minimum).
  7. International Baccalaureate Diploma or GCE (A-Level) Examination.

Candidates must upload scanned images and documents in the specified format:

Follow these simple steps to successfully complete your JEE Main 2026 registration:

  1. Visit the official websitejeemain.nta.nic.in.
  2. Click on “Apply for JEE Main 2026 Session 1” and select “New Registration.”
  3. Enter your personal details, such as name, mobile number, and valid email ID.
  4. Create a password and choose a security question and answer.
  5. Upon successful registration, a system-generated Application Number will be provided.
  6. Login using your Application Number and Password to fill in educational, exam city, and communication details.
  7. Upload your photograph, signature, and required documents as per the given format.
  8. Pay the application fee online using debit/credit card or UPI.
  9. After successful submission, download and print the confirmation page for future reference.

Candidates are advised to read the Information Bulletin carefully before filling out the application form.
