Important Dates

• Online Registration Begins: 25 September 2025
• Last Date to Apply:  27 October 2025
• Exam Date: 18 December 2025

Tip: Submit the application early to avoid last-minute server issues.late submissions or incomplete fees will not be accepted.

Application Fee 

• General: ₹1,150
• EWS / OBC-NCL: ₹600
• SC / ST / PwBD: ₹325

The application fee must be paid online through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• General/UR/EWS: Minimum 55% marks (without rounding) in a Master’s degree or equivalent.
• OBC-NCL / SC / ST / PwBD / Third Gender: Minimum 50% marks.
• Candidates currently pursuing a Master’s or awaiting final results may also apply.
• Four-year Bachelor’s degree holders can appear if the subject chosen for PhD matches the NET subject list (Annexure-I).

Age Limit

• Junior Research Fellowship (JRF): Not more than 30 years as on 1 December 2025 (relaxation as per Govt. rules).
• Lectureship/Assistant Professor: No upper age limit.

Examination Subjects

The December 2025 CSIR-UGC NET will be conducted for the following disciplines (codes in the official prospectus):

• Chemical Sciences
• Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean & Planetary Sciences
• Life Sciences
• Mathematical Sciences
• Physical Sciences

Candidates can select one subject aligned with their academic background or intended research field.

3. Complete the One-Time Registration with valid email and mobile number.
4. Fill the online form, upload scanned photo, signature, and required documents.
5. Pay the application fee and download the confirmation page for future reference.

• Ensure all information is filled correctly; incomplete forms may be rejected.
• Keep your scanned documents ready: photo, signature, degree certificates, etc.
