Eligibility Criteria
To ensure only highly qualified doctors are appointed, the recruitment follows a well-defined structure:
- Distribution of Posts
- 40% reserved for members of the Bihar State Health Service Cadre.
- 40% for doctors who have completed a Postgraduate (PG) Degree under the Residency Scheme from any state medical college in Bihar.
- 20% for doctors with a PG Degree (Residency Scheme) from a recognized institute outside Bihar.
- Educational Qualification
- Essential: Postgraduate Degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the relevant specialty.
- If suitable PG candidates are unavailable, Diploma holders may be considered.
- Candidates with an equivalent PG qualification approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC) are also eligible.
- Diploma holders will receive 10 marks less in the merit list compared to PG degree holders.
