Information: The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has released an official notification inviting applications for the post of Assistant Teacher (Primary) / PRT. A total of 1,180 vacancies will be filled across the Directorate of Education and the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC).
If you are passionate about teaching at the primary level and meet the eligibility criteria, you can apply online through the DSSSB portal between 17 September 2025 and 16 October 2025.

Application Fee
- General / OBC / EWS: ₹100
- SC / ST / PwBD / Women / Ex-Servicemen: No Fee
The application fee must be paid online through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. |
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 30 years as on 16 October 2025
- Upper-age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms (see official notification for details).

Eligibility Criteria
1️⃣ Assistant Teacher (PRT) – Directorate of Education
- Educational Qualification (any one of the following):
- 12th (Senior Secondary) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) OR
- 12th with 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE 2002 norms OR
- 12th with 50% marks and Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
- 12th with 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education OR
- Graduation with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Must have passed CTET (Paper I) conducted by CBSE.
- Should have studied Hindi / Urdu / Punjabi / English as a subject at the secondary level.
- Relaxation: 5% in academic marks for SC / ST / OBC / PH candidates.
2️⃣ Assistant Teacher (PRT) – NDMC
- 12th pass with 50% marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST).
- Two-year Diploma in Primary Education / ETE / JBT / DIET / B.El.Ed.
- Must have passed CTET (Paper I).
- Must have passed Hindi as a subject in Class 10.

Step-by-Step Application Process
- Visit the official DSSSB portal: dsssbonline.nic.in.
- Click on New Registration to create your profile using a valid email ID and mobile number.
- Log in with your credentials and select Advt. No. 05/2025 – Assistant Teacher (PRT).
- Fill in all personal, academic, and professional details carefully.
- Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and other required documents.
- Pay the application fee (if applicable) and submit the form.
- Download and save the confirmation slip for future reference.
